Serving Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties. HIV / AIDS Services: AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) – provides needed medications for clients not covered by insurance. HIV/AIDS Case Management – A social worker and nurse case manager work together with the client to develop a care plan based on his/her specific needs, provide benefits counseling and advocacy, and coordinate with other care providers to assure quality and continuity of care. Emergency Financial Assistance and practical support for food, housing, medical needs, and transportation for people living with HIV or AIDS. Support Groups: HIV and Hepatitis C Support Groups in the community. Hepatitis C Support Group for inmates at Sierra Conservation Center. Education Services: Teen Peer Education Program – Youth teaching youth how to prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. HIV and Hepatitis Education presentations may be customized to meet the needs of any audience. Our Speakers Bureau has trained presenters who are infected or affected by HIV and can share their personal experiences about the issues that confront people living with HIV/AIDS. Community Services: Free / Low Cost Hepatitis C Screening. HIV Rapid Testing (in cooperation with Calaveras County Public Health Dept.)
