Getting new clients and introducing them to your company or your new project are always an exciting venture. Through this, you know that you are doing things right and that you are headed in the right direction. However, gaining new clients and going through the whole process are not always a walk in the park. In fact, they can be the total opposite, especially if you do not do it right. You, of course, will never want it to turn into a disaster, which is why today, we will teach you some of the most important tips and tricks to make sure that you use your software for client implementation right and make that onboarding a success.
Propose a Time and Date for a Brainstorming Meeting
The best way to know what your clients really want is to get into a meeting with them. This is essential, especially if you have multiple clients. You definitely want everyone’s ideas and intentions aligned, which is why it is important to set up these meetings at least once a week.
Make the brainstorming meeting a routine by scheduling it around the same time and day every single week. Ask your team members and, of course, your clients when the most practical and convenient day and time of the week will be for everyone and stick to that. Surely, it can be difficult to schedule this at first, but once it’s settled and done, you will not regret setting it up.
Invite the Right People
You definitely want everyone to get involved with the process, which is why it is important to invite the right people into the room. Make sure that every team or client has their own representative and that they will be listening and contributing to the brainstorming well.
Aim to include a couple of executives, members of the management, a couple of team members, and department leads. Make sure that everybody knows what they want to say and ask. You can tell the attendees to prepare a few questions and statements that they will want to ask or say during the brainstorming meeting so that the meeting will be over in just a few hours. Everyone who will be attending the said meeting is also quite busy.
Take Notes or Even Videos
The brainstorming meeting will most probably be a fast-paced one, so make sure to put everything into writing or recording. You can ask someone to take the minutes of the meeting. He or she should be one who will not contribute anything to the brainstorming but write and record everything down.
You can also try taking a video or an audio recording of the meeting so that you can all go back to it if ever the need arises. Whiteboards and markers can also be a big help, so make sure to include them in your meeting.
Know What You Need to Talk About and Stick to That
Before even starting the meeting, you should make sure that everyone is on the same page and that you all know what you will be talking about during the said meeting. Create a list of what needs to be discussed and stick to that throughout the meeting. It can be quite tempting to expound on a few things that you want to discuss and talk about, but if it is not included in the agenda, then save it for some other time. Remember to always stay focused and stick to the agenda so that you will not be wasting any time.
Always be open to your clients and let them know what you have in mind. This will help the project push through and become a huge success, which is what everyone wants. Good luck and may you have a successful client onboarding!
